Changing the format of numbers

This article explains how to change the format of values displayed on slides.  To complete these actions you must have have dataset edit rights.  The example below shows average salary values in a Crosstab. The values provide an unnecessary level of detail: Displaying two decimal places provides no value and risks data overload.

To change the format of values:

1. Select the "Data" menu
2. Select "Manage Properties"

3. Select the required property (Salary in this example)
4. Select the “Values” option
5. Select the arrow for “Values”

6. Specify required format and the number of decimal places
7. Select ‘Save’
8. Close the "Manage Properties" window

9. Reload the page
