This article provides a step-by-step guide to create a bar chart with subgroup categories split and stacked percentage values displayed. In this example, the proportion of male and female employees is shown at each organizational layer.
The explanation assumes you know how to add a slide and specify the Chart slide type (see Analyze and visualize organization subgroups with Charts).
- Ensure the Slide pane is selected
- In the 'Group By' option, select the property which defines your subgroup categories. In this example, ‘Depth’ is used. (This is shown in italics because it is an Orgvue Generated Property. See What are Orgvue Generated Properties?)
- In the 'Color By' option, select the property which you want to split the subgroup categories by. In this example, ‘Gender’ is used.
- Select “Stacked percentage” as the Stacking option
- Select the cog for Values
- Unselect ‘Outer labels’ and Select ‘Inner labels’
- Select the ‘Legend’ icon to add the legend to your chart
