This article provides a step-by-step guide to create a bar chart with subgroups ranked in descending order. In this example, the functional headcount is visualized.
The explanation assumes you know how to add a slide and specify the Chart slide type (see Analyze and visualize organization subgroups with Charts).
- Ensure the Slide pane is selected
- In the 'Group By' option, select the Property you want to visualize (in this example, ‘Function’ is used)
- Select the cog icon for the ‘Group By’ options
- Select ‘High to Low’
In the above example, one of the Function labels is truncated. This can be fixed:
- Select the cog icon for the ‘Group By’ options
- Deselect ‘Auto’
- Adjust the slider until your labels are shown on the chart
