In the following example , the average salary value for each grade category is split by gender to show differences between female and male employees.
The start point is a chart showing values for subgroups. The example below shows average salary values for each grade category. The step-by-step guide to develop this chart is provided in Compare average values across subgroup categories with a Bar Chart.
To split the subgroups:
- In the 'Color By' option, select your required property. In this example, ‘Gender’ is used.
- Select ‘Clustered’ as the Stacking option
- Select the ‘Legend’ icon to add the legend to your chart
