This article provides a step-by-step guide to create a Crosstab slide with cells displaying percentage values based on the overall population.
In this example, the proportion of male and female employees split by grade is shown.
The explanation assumes you know how to add a slide and specify the Crosstab slide type (see Analyse and visualize across multiple categories with Crosstabs).
- Ensure the Slide pane is selected
- Select the property with the subgroup categories required for your Columns (in this example, Gender is selected)
- Select the property with the subgroup categories required for your Rows (in this example, Grade is selected)
- Select the cog for the Values options
- Check “Show as percentage”
To include the heatmap option:
- Expand the ‘Color by’ options with the down arrow
- Select “Heat.”
- Select your preferred color
