As positions are added, changed and removed, the impact of these actions is automatically reported in the Analyze Impacts section.
The content includes
- an executive summary comparing the size and cost of the 'to-be' organization with the baseline;
- a change landscape showing where planned changes will impact the organization;
- impact analysis showing the changing size and cost of management reporting lines;
- the 'to-be' organization chart and a summary of the 'to-be' organization;
- the implementation detail listing all the positions which have been added, changed, removed, and kept unchanged.
The content in this section can be navigated using the menu options shown below.
Executive Summary
The Executive Summary (shown above) shows the size and cost of the ‘To-be’ organization and how this compares to the baseline. Additional subgroup detail is provided for the property which was selected as the Primary Property at the configuration stage.
Change Landscape
The Change Landscape shows where changes are impacting the organization. Every position is color-coded to show whether it has been added, removed, changed, or kept unchanged during the assignment. More detail is provided when the cursor is placed over a position.
Impact Analysis
The Impact Analysis shows the scale of change for the organisation, subgroups, and teams.
Rolled-up totals are shown on each card to see the size and cost of the reporting line:
- The baseline total values
- The total values resulting from modelling actions
- The difference (‘Delta’)
‘To-be’ Organization Summary
The ‘To-be’ Organization Summary contains four slides to understand the size, cost and structure of the future organization which has been modelled.
As this section focuses on the ‘to-be’ organization, positions which have been flagged for removal are excluded.
The To-be Org Chart shows the organization structure resulting from the actions which have been modelled.
The Size overview shows the headcount (or FTE is this has been specified at the configuration stage) at each organization layer split across the categories of the ‘Primary Property’.
The Cost overview shows the total cost of positions at each organization layer split across the categories of the ‘Primary Property’. This slide will report zero values if no cost property was specified at the configuration stage.
The Span of control overview shows every position in the ‘to-be’ organization color-coded by span of control. Additional detail can be seen when the cursor is placed over a position in the structure to understand how the span of control for a position has changed.
Implementation Detail
The Implementation Detail provides position-level data to identify and understand every position which has been added, changed, removed, or kept unchanged during the modelling assignment.
The modelling property values for each position is shown. In addition, the Change Reason is listed, and for changed positions, you can see which properties have changed, the baseline property values and the updated value which have been provided during the assignment.
A separate worksheet is provided for each category with navigation via the menu shown in the illustration below.
