This article provides an overview of the four content areas in the conduct stage. Detail on each section is provided through the links in the headings.
The start point for the org modelling assignment is the baseline organization: Until any position-level Actions are specified, the ‘to-be’ organization matches the baseline.
The 'to-be' organization develops as position-level Actions are specified. The possible actions are:
- to Keep existing positions Unchanged in the ‘to-be’ organization
- to Change existing positions; for example, changing the location of a team
- to Remove existing positions from the ‘to-be’ organization.
- to Add new positions in the ‘to-be’ organization.
- See the status of the assignment: the positions which have been reviewed and the positions which require action to complete the assignment.
- Content automatically updates as position-level actions are specified using the Model Changes content.
- Add, remove, change and keep positions using your preferred format and input method.
- Identify whether any errors have occurred during the assignment.
- See which positions required attention and take action to resolve issues.
- See the impact of the modelling actions
- Understand the size, cost and structure of the 'to-be' organization and how it compares to the baseline.
- Access the position-level implementation needed to deliver the 'to-be' organization.
