Select the baseline dataset

The dataset you select provides the baseline for your org modelling assignment. The future, ‘to-be’ organization develops as positions are added, changed, or removed.

More information:

The dataset you select can be either a Positions dataset or a People dataset.
It needs to

• Contain all the positions you want to include in the assignment.
• Contain a single hierarchy i.e., all positions are connected in a single reporting structure.
• Contain accurate and complete data for the properties you will use to define positions (e.g., Function, Location, Cost)

If you are unsure whether your dataset contains a single, complete hierarchy, or if you have any concerns regarding the quality of the data, we recommend you review it using Orgvue's template packs for  Data Cleaning which can be accessed in Workspace.
