Many slides in the template packs use organization dimensions for pre-set Paging so you can “slice and dice” your data and visualize slide content based on organization subgroups.
If a dimension doesn’t have a mapped property, the related paging option will not serve any purpose. In the example below, the ‘business unit’ property has not been mapped so when this is selected as a paging option, there are no sub-groups to select. Remove Paging properties by selecting the ‘X’ icon (see ‘a’ in the illustration below).
You can select any property from your dataset, or an automatically Generated Property to page by. Level 2 is a commonly used Generated Property as this typically defines each executive reporting line. Properties with hundreds of value (categories) should not be selected for paging as this will result in slower performance (particularly when using large datasets). Add Paging properties by selecting the Paging icon and selecting properties with a checkmark (see ‘b’ in the illustration below).
- Right the slide with the required paging options
- Select Paging
- Select Copy Paging
- Right the slide you want to apply the paging options to
- Select Paging
- Select Paste Paging
