Note: this article is closely related to the How to change mapped dataset properties article. Where the aforementioned article discussions the Org Analysis template packs, this article discusses the setup of the template packs for other Orgvue solutions.
In order to fully leverage the template packs you will need to be able to alias your properties. The template packs use template properties that need to be mapped to the properties of your dataset. For the org analysis packs this mapping step is done when you open a template pack. For the other template packs you will need to manually add the aliases to your properties.
In Settings, with your dataset selected:
- Select 'Manage properties'
- Find the property that best matches the alias needed
- Add the alias under the 'Alternative keys' section
It is not necessary for you to map every property. Not mapping a property simply means that no analysis on that data attribute is possible.
Leverage the Activity Analysis packs
If you are performing an Activity Analysis and wish to use the template packs, you will need to assign the following aliases to your People dataset:
Alias | Used for | Description | Format |
---|---|---|---|
propFunctional | Show the functions with highest FTE allocation | Department, Function, Sub function, etc | Text |
propGeographic | Show the Locations with highest FTE allocation | Location, Country, City, Region, Work Site, etc. | Text |
propFTE | Calculating FTE allocation to each activity | A number between 0 and 1.5 | Number |
propPeopleCost | Calculating Activity Cost | The total cost associated with the people who filled in the survey. Expected to be in the same currency | Number |
propEmployeeLevel | Grouping people into Executive, Managerial, Non Managerial roles | Grade, managerial level, etc. Any property that can be used to determine the level of work expected from each person | Number/Text |
propPositionTitle | Displaying who have the highest time allocation by activity and accountability | Position Title, Job Title, Role, etc. | Text |
