What is Quick Editor mode?
Quick Editor pauses all calculations so you can edit cells in Worksheet slides using complex or large datasets without calculations slowing performance. After you are done editing, you can apply your changes to run all paused calculations in one go.
This will be automatically suggested when making edits on a Worksheet that take more than 1 second to update:
What should I do before enabling Quick Editor mode?
When using Quick Editor, all menus and controls other than Levels are hidden. Therefore you should apply any required filters and pages prior to enabling Quick Editor.
How do I use Quick Editor mode?
- Select Quick Editor from the tools menu
- All menu options will be hidden and a header message will be shown to indicate Quick Editor is enabled
- Make any edits to the worksheet cells as required
- When all edits are made select "Apply Changes"
- A confirmation message will be shown. Select "Apply Changes" to apply all the changes you have made and return to the Default View
- Select the "Discard changes" option at any point to return to Default View without applying changes
After applying changes and returning to Default View the data will still need to be saved to preserve the changes made.
