“Painting with data” is a quick and simple way to update property values. This is often used to fix obvious data errors. Property values can be dragged-and-dropped to trigger the update.
In the example below, there is an issue with the Area property: there are 20 people with the value “Birrmingamm”. Let’s fix this
We can “paint with data” using either the color legend, or the filter control
- Select either the color legend (A), or the filter control (B)
- Drag the label you want to update onto the required value to trigger the Set Property value pane
- Review the updates which will be made (the number of nodes updating and the value which will be applied), the select ‘Apply’
The 20 incorrect cases now have the correct property value .
