How do I open a pack with a different dataset? – Orgvue Knowledge Base

When you have created a pack, you might want to use it with a different dataset. You can apply your packs to any other dataset in Orgvue, so long as the data fields are similar. A common scenario is that you have a pack created with an initial transformation baseline dataset and you now want to use the same pack for a new baseline dataset. As your properties are similar from month to month you can apply your pack from your previous baseline dataset to your new one.

There are three ways you can open a pack with a different dataset:

Through the workspace landing page – datasets

Make sure you are on the Datasets view of the Workspace Homescreen

Click on your dataset of choice

Change the filter on the packs list in the "Created with" column to "Same Data type" or "Other Data types"

Select the pack you are looking for

Find the pack of your choice
You will be given a list of all data options you can open the pack with

Select the dataset you are looking for

Open the pack and apply it to the new dataset

Open your existing pack and dataset combination
Click on the dataset name in the navigation pane at the top of your pack
You will be provided with a list of datasets/drafts/views you can switch the data to – it will open the same pack but with the new data
