This article introduces the benefits of Paging for Charts and explains how to add Paging to your visualizations.
The benefits of Paging
When Paging is applied, your chart content displays values based on defined subgroups.
- You can rapidly scroll through subgroups to compare these visually
- You can reduce the overall number of slides in your pack by avoiding the need to produce different versions of the same slide for different organizational subgroups
How to apply Paging to your visualizations
- Select the ‘Paging’ Icon
- Select the properties to page by with a check mark
- Your selected properties will be shown on the canvas. (to remove a property, select the ‘x’ icon)
- Select the required subgroup from the drop-down menu, or scroll through subgroups using the ‘>’ and ‘<’ icons
Paging tips
- Add and use multiple paging properties in combination to “slice-and-dice” your visualization
- The Orgvue calculated property “Level_2” is often used for paging as this provides sub-groups based on the direct reports to the most senior position in your dataset.
- You can copy your paging from one slide and paste it to another: Right click the slide in the left-hand slide sorter, and select Paging
