This article provides an overview of the Orgvue Canvas.
The content here is limited to the key functionality; comprehensive information can be found in the Orgvue User Guide.
- Add slide icon: Select the icon, then specify the slide type required.
- Slide Sorter: The selected slide is shown on the Canvas.
- Rearrange the order of slides by dragging-and-dropping.
- Right-click a slide in the Sorter to:
- Delete a slide (or multiple slides);
- Copy and paste a slide (or multiple slides);
- Copy and paste Paging and Filtering which has been applied (see points 6 and 7, below).
- Slide, Data and Search Tabs. Select a tab to specify the content shown in the pane below:
- Slide: Specify which data is shown on a slide, and how it is shown.
- Data: See and edit property values for selected nodes. (see, Using the Data Pane)
- Search for individual nodes (e.g., people or positions) (see, Locating people or positions using Search)
- Visible levels: Set the number levels included on Tree and Worksheet slides showing hierarchical data.
- Color Palette: Specify how colors are applied to your slide content.
- Filtering: Set Filters to visualize data based on your defined criteria.
- Paging: Set Pages to “slice-and-dice” the data shown on a slide.
- Export Canvas Content: Export your slides, and/ or the data being used.
- Node information, showing:
- The total number of Nodes in the dataset being used.
- The number of Selected nodes. (This is also used to clear the selection). Note that the 'Selected' icon can be dragged-and-dropped for example, when you need to move teams across a large area of the canvas.
- The number of nodes the slide is Focused by. (This is also used to clear the focus). Note than you can focus by more than one position to Compare teams in the organization structure.
- The number of nodes which have been Changed. (This can also be used to revert changes).
- Node action icons: Select the required icon to add, delete or clone nodes.
