This article explains how to add team members and colleagues to an Orgvue tenant.
This is the first level of Orgvue data security. Until an individual is added to a tenant, they cannot access any data.
- Open the Setting application
- Select ‘Settings’ from the Homepage menu; or
- Select the burger menu, then select ‘Settings’
- Select ‘User management’
- Select ‘Add users’ and select
- ‘Manual’ to add users individually
- ‘Bulk’ to upload a spreadsheet of multiple users
This example shows individual users being added manually.
- Select ‘Manual’.
- Enter the team member's e-mail address;
- Specify a Platform Role: ‘Admin’ or ‘User’.
- Enter the ‘User Groups’ the individual is to be included in.
NOTE:
- If the ‘Admin’ Platform Role is selected, the team member will have access to all data saved in the tenant without any restrictions on the actions which can be taken.
- It is possible to proceed without assigning Users to User Groups, but different Dataset Permissions or Property Permissions cannot be granted: Every individual with the 'User' Platform Role, but without a User Group will have to be granted the same permissions.
- A User can be included in multiple User Groups.
- Select ‘Next’.
- Admins have the option to specify components of the Orgvue UI which will be hidden from individual users. In this example, the defaults will be maintained. See the Orgvue User Guide for more information on each option.
- Select ‘Create.
The user is now added to the tenant:
Adding a User to the tenant is a necessary first step in providing access, but this alone does not provide Users with data access. Assigning dataset permissions is a required next step.
