Populating property values for new positions efficiently

When a position is added to the organization structure, it’s property values – e.g. function, geographic location, grade, cost, etc. – need to be specified.  This article introduces two methods which reduce the need for manual data entry, saving time and maintaining and data quality.

In addition to the approaches described below, you can Maintain logic across properties with Dependent Lookups:  When there is a logical relationship across multiple properties (e.g. Geographic Region, Country, Location), all related properties can be set to populate when a value for the most granular property is entered.
